All players please be aware of our Pairs and Presentation Evening at Highfield CH scheduled for Thursday 12th November 7:45 arrival to allow an 8:00 pm start.
This will be the first Pairs Competition dedicated to the memory of our former Secretary and League stalwart the late Colin Shaw.
We are also using this occasion to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Orrell & District Quiz League. We would appreciate as many team members as possible turning up for this evening and hope to make it even more successful than the competition we ran a year ago.
All players should note that there will be
Two Free drink Vouchers for all attendees to celebrate the 40 year milestone
Hot Pot Supper provided
Trophies for the winners of the Pairs Competition
There will be no charge for attendees nor will we be looking to sell raffle tickets etc. Moreover we are looking to ‘seed’ the competition in an attempt to ensure everyone has a chance of winning by preventing the strongest players from being drawn together.
(Please note that aside from players, regular and occasional scorers and question masters are equally welcome)
I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible on November 12th
